AI Act deadlines are not stable. On 8 July 2026 an amending regulation pushed the high-risk obligations back by sixteen months and pulled one labelling duty forward. Deadline tables written before that date are wrong and mostly do not say so. This page records every change we know of, with the act that caused it and its CELEX number, so you can check rather than trust.

Anyone generating synthetic audio, image, video or text · Art. 50(2) still applies from 2 August 2026. What the amending act added is a four-month transitional period: systems generating synthetic content that were already placed on the market before 2 August 2026 have until 2 December 2026 to comply. New systems get no grace period.
All providers and deployers · New prohibition introduced by the amending regulation. Exact article placement is being verified against the consolidated text.
Providers of general-purpose AI models · Unaffected by the Digital Omnibus. Full enforcement powers apply from 2 August 2026.
Everyone · In force since 2 February 2025.
